International Level 1 Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training 2012

Dear Friend!

Thanks for your query re the teacher training!

Level 1 is an international certification course based on Yogi Bhajan’s teachings.

We teach the 160 hours of training in four modules. Each module is an extended weekend (gathering Thursday evening and breaking up Tuesday midday). The course is spread over approx 1,5 years; the time in-between modules helps us integrate, practice, go to classes, and complete assignments (including yoga and meditation self practice, starting to teach and yogic cleanses).

  • Course Dates Gauteng – Melody Hill Yoga in Magaliesburg

  • Module 1 23.2 – 28.2.12 Module 3 13.9 – 18.9.12

  • Module 2 26.4 – 1.5.12 Module 4 29.11 – 4.12.12

We are hoping for a Cape course at the end of the year, please watch this space and drop us a line if you're interested!

This course is a certification course for level 1 certified teachers and we also find that it speaks to yoga-loving, yoga-practicing people! We create a lively mix of deep information paired with experiential activities, just the way to learn well! When you take this training you join an international community of Kundalini Yoga teachers who share the art and science of Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan. www.kriteachings.org, www.yogatech.com and www.3ho.org are resourceful international sites to look at and our local site is www.kundaliniyoga.co.za

Cost of the training:

Per module R2800 plus R1500 for bed and food (delicious wholesome catered vegetarian).

At the beginning of the training you also buy the teacher training manual that accompanies us right throughout the course for R350. It is never wrong to bring a little spending money as there are scrumptious manuals and cds available to build your collection!

We ask that you please deposit the course fee and the money for the manual, e.g. R3150 before commencement of the course to 3HO FOUNDATION SA, Nedbank Blackheath Branch, Acc# 1967040192 (Kindly send me a confirmation by email khalsa@kundaliniyoga.co.za or pritam.khalsa@gmail.com). Bring the food and bed money in cash. Add the foundation’s account to your electronic profile - it makes it easier next time!

Attached is a little questionnaire to reflect to yourself why you want to take this course and for me to get to know you. In addition to training for being a teacher, many people also take this course to get more deep with and steep themselves in yoga. Reaching out to another and sharing this beautiful healing art may be something to grow into. You can write it up and send it back to me as soon as you can and let me know how and where you want to start! PLUS, I would like to get your training manual to you before we start – it is so fascinating to delve into - so let’s get that sorted also!

I loved..

the variety of exercises, play, lectures, games and meditations!

the course content is superb!

the time away to delve, absolute safe space!

the whole package!

the amazing support which is given with such love, the laughter that comes with the learning, the food, the time away form family, the time to heal at a deep level and the safe space to complete the process.

This course has grown me: -

to feel strong and confident about my path and secure in the trust that there are many following it with me.. It has reminded me and reaffirmed in me that the only way is truth. sat nam

Although i was relatively inexperienced in the beginning, and felt doubts about my ability to teach Kundalini Yoga, i now feel a lot more confident and empowered, partly because of the effect of the practices themselves in clearing 'baggage' and strengthening my aura, but also due to the guidance and examples of the amazing teachers (including participants). Also the sense that i now have a good support system to draw on where i am not sure about something.

i have found my singing voice, have grown my love of people, it has given me a deeper passion for yoga and helped me shed some baggage which was much needed.
